We are looking for someone with or without experience of safeguarding adults, to help us in this role.
Fortunately, we don’t have many occasions to raise a concern with Oxfordshire County Council but if we do have evidence that one of our clients appears to be at risk, we have a duty to take appropriate action.
It is not a time-consuming position – in the last year we had just three clients who we were concerned about.
If you have no or limited experience of safeguarding adults, there will be a small amount of online training to be undertaken but we will support you through this and have meetings to show you what to do until you are confident – but there is always someone to talk things through with when you are not sure.
